Caucasian man murdered after he made racist post on Facebook and got death threats in his comments
A 35-year-old man was found dead on Sunday morning in South Carolina and police ruled the death a murder. The death came shortly after he made a racist comment on Facebook, though it’s not clear if his death is linked to the comment.
At about 12:45 a.m. on Sunday morning, deputies said they responded to a call regarding a shooting on the 100 block Colonial Acres Road in Laurens County, South Carolina. When they arrived on scene they found a male victim laying in a pool of blood with at least one gunshot wound to the neck.
After investigating the crime scene, police determined that the victim Michael Eric McCraney was murdered. His death was ruled a homicide. Police are still investigating why anyone would want to kill him but people have now dug up offensive comments he made weeks ago threatening someone and calling them the N word. In another post, he revealed his hate for black people, writing “F*** nigs”. A lot of people asked him to delete the post but he went on insulting black people.
Following his racist post, someone threatened him with death and told him, “Don’t be surprised if one of your own killed you”. The person went on to tell him to guard himself and keep his eyes open because harm was coming to him.
