“The coolest monkey in the jungle”: the brand H & M pinned for a publicity considered racist

We see a little black boy posing with a hoodie where you can read the following sentence: “Coolest monkey in the jungle”. Translation: “The coolest monkey in the jungle”.


“Who had the idea, H & M, to have this little black boy wearing a sweatshirt saying ‘The coolest monkey in the jungle’?”, Insurged the model Sunday on Twitter. “I’m disgusted …”, she added. “And since it must be repeated every time: for these images to arrive on the site of H & M, they had to pass in front of 40 eyes at least …, annoys the side activist Sihame Assbague. It says: ‘Non stop, c’est raciste là’ This raises questions (especially about recruitment).
