Relief for Chelsea as Man City’s Bernardo Silva is handed one-match ban with £50k fine & compulsory education for ‘racist’ tweet

5dcc1aec5550d.jpgManchester City winger, Bernardo Silva is set miss Premier League match against Chelsea as he has been handed a one-match ban with £50,000 fine and compulsory education for his controversial ‘racist’ tweet aimed at his fellow teammate, Benjamin Mendy.

The ban comes a month after the Portuguese footballer was charged with misconduct by the FA after he tweeted images of Mendy as a child alongside the mascot for Spanish confectionery firm Conguitos, with the caption “Guess who?” on September 22.


After a heavy backlash on Twitter, the 25-year-old was forced to delete the post and then tweeted: “Can’t even joke with a friend these days… You Guys…”.
